The Young Arab Scientist is a science-based educational initiative dedicated to discovering, empowering, and supporting talented students across the Middle East.
Originally founded as a scientific competition, our mission is to promote scientific thinking, innovation, and excellence among young minds.
In response to the devastating impact of war and conflict in the region, our mission has expanded to include direct educational support. We provide scholarships, resources, and academic opportunities to students whose education has been disrupted—ensuring that conflict does not end their scientific journey.
From our base in the United States, we mobilize global support to protect access to education and invest in the future of science where it is most at risk.
Despite the challenges of conflict, these students continue their education with the support of our scholarship programs. We work to ensure that learning remains a fundamental right, even in times of crisis.

Since its inception, The Young Arab Scientist (YAS) has empowered thousands of students across the Middle East through scientific competitions, educational programs, and mentorship opportunities that nurture curiosity, innovation, and academic excellence.
As conflict and instability have disrupted education for many students, YAS has expanded its impact by providing targeted scholarships and academic support to students affected by war—ensuring that scientific talent is not lost due to circumstances beyond their control.
